Sudler's Lakewood Spec Building Success Leads to Plans for Another Building in 2016
Less than one year after Sudler completed new construction of the 140,000-square-foot industrial building at 1001 New Hampshire Avenue in Lakewood, the building is already more than 85 percent leased to companies that are using the space for commercial and corporate distribution purposes.

Geared up for 2016
By Steve Reinman, Executive Director, Lakewood Industrial Commission
Welcome back to our latest edition of the Lakewood Industrial Commission's Geared for Business e-newsletter.
Thank you to all Industrial Park companies and employees for making 2015 a banner year for our park. We have seen new construction, expansions and an infusion of exciting new companies into our community in the Industrial Parks of Lakewood. Demand is high and is driving new development for commercial and industrial uses. I also want to thank those of you who have shared ideas and comments to make each successive edition of this newsletter more substantive and more relevant to the needs of our businesses and those we want to engage.
2016 promises to be another year of significant events and achievements.
- We hope to open marketing activity for a new parcel of buildable land adjacent to the airport.
- Numerous construction projects are already in process, so we will see new influx and expansion of the existing park as well.
- Our airport is planning to construct new T-hangars, which will enhance the services currently offered for resident aircraft and draw more air traffic to the business community. We already do a fairly high volume of helicopter activity and are seeking state support to build a dedicated helipad to accommodate those trips. For information related to any airport activity, please contact my office or call the airport directly at 732-363-6400.
Lastly, on behalf of the LIC commissioners and our staff, please let me wish you all a Happy Holiday Season and our best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.
Regards,
Steve

J. Knipper and Company Celebrates Its 30th Year-
Almost All of It in Lakewood
When the doctor gives you a sample of a new medicine to try out, it may not seem like a complicated process. Over the years, however, the practice of giving out pharmaceutical samples has become more and more regulated by agencies, such as the federal Food and Drug Administration and the Drug Enforcement Administration - posing a challenge to the companies that hand out the freebies in hopes of promoting their products.

INEQCO
Quality Baking and Food Service Equipment
Manufactured in Lakewood
Years ago, when the equipment at bakeries in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania broke down, repairmen from International Equipment Co., Inc. were called to fix it. But when the confectioneries began asking the repairmen for new types of equipment and products, the company decided it may as well manufacture them for their customers.
That's how a family-owned repair business gave birth to the 45,000-square-foot manufacturing, marketing, and sales facility that has called 1825 Swarthmore Ave. in the Lakewood Industrial Park its home since 1989.

Lakewood Airport (N12) is planning to add a terminal building with public meeting facilities, a restaurant, an emergency services facility, aircraft
hangars, additional tie-down spaces, helipad, and
a
self-service fueling station.
Projects Underway
News: Construction of T-Hangars to serve small aircraft stationed at Lakewood Airport.
Bids were received on December 17, 2015, for Design Build for Lakewood Airport Hangars. All bids received on that date are currently under review. No awards have been made to date.
Phase I: T-Hangar reservations will be accepted as soon as spring of 2016, with occupancy expected in fall 2016. Lakewood Township is in the process of acquiring two small parcels south of RWE 6 that would allow the removal of runway obstructions and significantly recapture a usable portion of Lakewood Airport's existing runway.
