JAMM is organizing the Bucket Brigade for Lansing JazzFest. How would you like to have as much fun as Terri, Gregg, Lois, and Jeff did at Summer Solstice Jazz Festival all while raising $3847.03 to benefit the festival?
Join us on Friday August 3rd and/or Saturday August 4th. Email JAMM President Lois Mummaw jammprez@gmail.com
THANK YOU to all of you who submitted nominations for the 2019 JAMM Tribute Honoree. As a result of a blind, weighted vote, the current JAMM Board and Past JAMM Tribute Honorees have whittled that list of ei down to three deserving
Mid-Michigan Jazz Contributors--
Gary Allen, Jeff Shoup, and Mike Stratton
Congratulations to all three of you!
If you are a 2018 JAMM Member or Donor, you will be receiving an email shortly to vote for your top choice to be 2019's JAMM Tribute Honoree.
ATTENTION--VERY IMPORTANT -- Please check the lists below
"2018 JAMM MEMBERS" and "CAPITAL CAMPAIGN DONORS"
to see if you are eligible to vote for the 2019 JAMM Tribute Honoree.

SPECIAL "SUMMER OF JAZZ" JAMM NEWS!

JAMM IS ON FACEBOOK
We sometimes add last minute news or updates, between newsletters, at this Facebook page,
so check in from time to time to be sure you're in the loop!
JAMM HAS A YOUTUBE CHANNEL
If you use YouTube , "subscribe" to our JAMM channel as we get ready to upload even more files we've had stored away since our earliest events, including some great vintage treats.
"Sign Language"
We take our little JAMM sign everywhere!
You never know who might be willing to help spread the word!

Here, we got two for the price of one when it comes to great players and jazz lovers: Gene Rebeck and Max Colley III
We are so saddened to hear of the passing of Henry Butler. He'd been ill since last year. If you didn't know about this unique man, click link to read and listen.

"His approach was, 'I'm going to keep playing until this thing overtakes me,'" said his agent, Maurice "He was committed to the band, and to the music, and advocating for the art form. That's who Henry was."

Henry was an honorary JAMM member, and dear friend of some local JAMM folks, who are mourning this great loss.
