Last Call to Apply for Neighborhood Assistance Tax Credits
Debi Balog, Workforce Development Director
JARI is submitting an application to the Neighborhood Assistance Tax Credit Program (NAP) offered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. The program gives businesses with state tax liability the option to make a donation to the JARI Workforce Program and receive 75% tax credits in exchange for their donation. Under the NAP program, JARI will be offering training to local residents that will enable them to obtain employment in a position that pays family sustaining wages. Over the past 14 years, JARI has been successful in obtaining funding to provide a wide variety of training programs for unemployed and underemployed workers. The deadline to submit contribution letters is Wednesday, July 15. If you are interested in helping JARI to continue to provide educational opportunities for the individuals in our area, please contact Debi Balog, JARI Workforce Development Director at 814-262-8366 or via e-mail at [email protected].
