DMV -RV UpdateThe Chamber gets many calls about where to go get your Drivers License. So my office volunteer called to get the correct schedule.
The current schedule for the DMV RV from Hendersonville to be in Polk County is: The first 3 Thursdays of the month, with the first week including a Monday for that month.
However, the RV is currently in the shop! It sure would be nice to have an office in Polk County.....
We strive to have correct information for all of our callers, this is part of the many services we provide to the community. Thank you for supporting us!

Come next Thursday at Tryon Elementary School, from 5-7 PM, the Tryon Kiwanis Club will bring to you the annual Pancake Supper fund raiser!
On the menu: Pancakes, bacon, sausage patties, applesauce, tea, coffee and milk. Cost: Adults $6, Children 5-12 $3, under 5 are free.
Proceeds go towards college scholarships.

Scam Alert
A member emailed me this week, and said that "Google" called them about renewing their "placement contract". They were very professional, even transferred him to a "verification department". When the member said they did not have any contract, Google said they would cancel it and bill them $449 for the past 18 months of service. At this point, the member hung up! The caller ID showed 'private number'. Alert your staff and report any calls like this to the local police. Most fraud discoveries have to start at the local level, and these reports help to track and find them.
