The event serves as the final leg in the Race to the Toyota Cup, one of the premier triathlon competitions in the country. The Toyota U.S. Open Triathlon consists of two different race distances: the International distance (1,500 meter swim, 40K bike, 10K run) and the Sprint distance (800-meter swim, 20K bike, 5K run). All athletes are welcome to register for this event—no qualification is needed. A relay division is also available, where each member of three-person teams completes one leg of the race.
