Hillsborough Art Walk Last Fridays showcases the talents of local artists in walk able historic Hillsborough. Park once and enjoy art galleries, artist studios, boutiques and award-winning restaurants.
Many of this month's venues will have opening receptions from 6 to 9 pm and are part of a collaboration with Triangle-wide Art Walks united in one goal - to tell the story of "The Walls We Build". The goal is to examine the kinds of walls that we build in our communities: social, economic, physical, political, and metaphorical. The intent is to promote understanding in hope of dismantling the many walls that divide us from one another. Click

at 126 West King Street presents “The Walls We Build: Occaneechi” featuring paintings and drawings by Thomas Stevens inspired by the palisade of the replica Occaneechi village in Hillsborough and part of artist UNITED.

at 100 South Churton St. presents “Unite and Illuminate”, a group exhibit based on the artist UNITED theme “The Walls We Build” featuring Kenneth Nkosi, Bill Brown, Alexis Lavine, Tinka Jordy, Donn Young and Katy Bowler.
Margaret Lane Gallery
at 121 West Margaret Lane presents “Ancient Walls” a group artist UNITED show featuring art by Jillian Goldberg, Sharon Barnes, Kevin Flynn Bell, Debi Drew, David Knox
and others.
K’s Closet
at 200 North Churton Street presents an artisan marketplace of locally handcrafted art and gifts from over 70 local makers.
The Paynter Law Firm
at 106 South Churton Street, Suite 200, presents “Free Spirit Freedom” part of the artist UNITED “The Walls We Build” exhibit.

Hillsborough Handmade Parade: 10/14

This fall, marks our 7th bi-annual Hillsborough Handmade Parade, a grassroots community participatory celebration that includes wild costumes, giant puppets, stilt-walkers, and marching bands. This year's theme is "Magical Menagerie on the Eno.” Register for puppet and costume making workshops and stay tuned to learn about how you can volunteer behind the scenes or the costumes

River Park Concert with The Wood Brothers: 10/27

We are incredibly excited to officially announce the artists for our third annual River Park Concert in downtown Hillsborough! The Wood Brothers and Seth Walker with local favorites The Shoaldiggers, The Walker Family Band and Night Boogie will be performing at River Park on October 27.
Mark your calendars now for this free event that brings together local artists, businesses, and the community in celebration of our beautiful town. The River Park Concert is a volunteer-driven, grassroots event. Stay tuned
