Every month on the Last Saturday, downtown Fort Wayne offers a wide variety of activities. The goal for the Cultural District is to attract visitors downtown to experience diverse social, arts, and cultural opportunities. There are events for every age and interest.

Riverfront Progress
Mayor Makes Announcement


Mayor Tom Henry today announced positive progress is being made in the City of Fort Wayne's riverfront development efforts, including the first grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne.

This exhibit features the results of a national call for entry of the best hand-pulled prints from around the nation. You can see this exhibit from April 24 until May 27.

Beetles, bats, and flies are among the surprising cast of characters who assist plants in seed production. During this year's live butterfly exhibit, visitors can learn more about pollinators and why humans depend on them.

Alexander Solomon
 
Fort Wayne Museum of Art

 



Photographer Alexander Solomon manipulates luscious landscape photographs, inserting subtle and unexpected subjects with an implication of crisis ahead. Solomon is the First Prize winner of the Fort Wayne Museum of Art's inaugural biennial exhibition of the best in contemporary American photography. You can experience this exhibit until May 17!

Dine for Dance
Help Raise Money by Dining


Dine for Dance is a one day event in which local non-profits; the Fort Wayne Dance Collective and New American Youth Ballet, team up with local eateries to raise much-needed funds for the performing arts in our community. A portion of the entire days' sales for that day go toward the Dine for Dance event. Just show up and eat at as many participating restaurants as possible!

In the Mood is much more than a concert and recreates defining moments with the hypnotic String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra, In The Mood Singers & Swing Dancers from New York, sizzling choreography (from Alex Sanchez - a veteran of 10 Broadway musicals), sassy costumes and an authentic score of over fifty unforgettable hits!
