Madeleine Grant, Canada, 2014, 91 min. A class of Dalit (untouchable) caste students prepares for the national high school graduation exams. As the first group of Dalit to undertake this endeavor, pressures are high. The opportunity to graduate and attend college could potentially break these students and their families out of a cycle of poverty that has disadvantaged them for generations.

Colton Shone, USA, 2015, 62 min. An undocumented immigrant who has lived in the United States for over ten years faces federal deportation proceedings. Southside Presbyterian, a Tucson-area church with a history of providing sanctuary for illegal immigrants, opens its doors for the man and his family. They will stay on the church property until the federal government reverses its decision. Panel discussion with filmmaker will follow the screening.
