The date for our next
Getting Started With Hydroponics workshop
is set for this Sunday, August 1 from 1:00-4:00.

Lee Mandell, our Chief Hydroponicist will take you through the basics of growing plants hydroponically. The workshop will include:
  1. A brief history of hydroponicsWorkshop 6/20/2010
  2. An overview of hydroponic growing techniques
  3. A hands-on workshop where you will build your own 5 gallon bucket drip system, ideal for growing delicious tomatoes or perfect peppers.
The cost of the workshop + kit is $85.00. If you would rather wait to build your planter, the fee for the workshop is $30.00. To register, visit boswyck.eventbrite.com.

The workshop will be held at Buglabs (598 Broadway, 4th floor, at the corner of Broadway and Houston).

Farm City Fair

On Sunday September 12, 2010 we'll be at Farm City. This event is a collaboration among the Brooklyn Food Coalition, Derek Denkla and other local organizations. The event will focus on the urban farming movement, sustainability and the local folks who are working to make it happen. There will be a market and workshops throughout the day.

Farm City is being presented as part of FIAF's Crossing the Line Festival: an interdisciplinary collaboration between artists and organizations in New York and France.

We're working on our Kickstarter video and are planning to start fundraising in September. We're going to have lots of cool stuff for our donors so start saving your pennies.
