July 18th and/or 25th - Coached Training Rides with Traci Brown 6pm- If you have not tried one of these coached training rides get on it! They will challenge you, make you a stronger, faster and safer rider. MEMBERS ONLY - Space is limited
July 16th Monday FREE Climbing Clinic with Heather Irmiger 6pm - meet at Harlow Platts Park in South Boulder (map here) at 5:45pm Come learn from PRO Cyclist Heather Irmiger! Heather will share secrets to climbing and descending and then go out with us to coach us along the ride up to NCAR. OPEN TO ALL WOMEN FREE - Space is limited
July 17th Tuesday FREE Relax, Recharge and Recover (acupuncture and Qigong clinic) With Mary Ellen Metke - Would you like to learn ways to relax, recharge, and recover before and after rides? Or just be healthier and feel better in general? Mary Ellen Metke is a licsened acupuncturist who will discuss acupuncture and teach Qigong exercises to help your over all health. The talk will describe how energy moves through your body and you will learn simple exercises to help you reduce stress and increase your energy. Mary Ellen Metke has been practicing acupuncture for over 25 years and Tai Chi and Qigong for over 30 years. OPEN TO ALL WOMEN FREE - Space is limited
July 18th FREE co-ed Intermediate Maintenance Class 7:30pm - you do not bring your bike and this class will not cover flat fixing. It WILLl cover loads of great info to empower you to get your hands on your bike so you dont miss that sweet ride with your friends on a Sunday night and the bike shop is already closed!
July 24th Thursday FREE Beginner Rider Clinic 6:30pm - Learn to feel more confident on your bike & have fun learning. A basic knowledge of riding is required. Arrive early and be ready to ride at 6:30pm. must sign 2012 waiver. for more details please look at the calendar. OPEN TO ALL WOMEN FREE - space is limited
July 29th Sunday FREE On the Road Gears and Shifting 8am - you may have attended Kaj's indoors clinic but this on is on the road putting the knowledge into action! Meet at Fairview High School for a brief talk then hit the parking lot and the south Boulder hills to practice your knowledge. This clinic will help you understand your gears, when to shift, how to shift with out dropping your chain and will teach you how to keep your legs energized by letting your bike work for you! OPEN TO ALL WOMEN FREE - Space is limited
August 4th Saturday Flagstaff ride! Come out and ride to the finish of the PRO Cycling Challenge! Meet at Full Cycle at 7am we will ride up to the amphitheater. Please RSVP - MEMBERS ONLY. This is a shorter climb with very steep sections. A great challenge!!!

July 22th Sunday - and the FINAL day of the Tour de France!

Meet at Full Cycle no later then 6:45am, we ride out at 7am sharp. You must sign annual waiver and listen, agree to and be checked off for the safety rules. On all rides have the items to fix your flat (tube, patch kit, tire levers and a pump).
This weekends rides are:
- 1 short ride (10-12mph) - Cherryvale (20 mi)
- 2 medium rides - 12-14mph and 15+mph - Valmont, 95th, Baseline, 75th, Lookout, 95th Mineral (36.6) A SMALL SECTION OF THIS RIDE IS ON A HARD DIRT PACKED ROAD BEHIND BOULDER RES.
- 2 long rides -12-14mph and 15+ - Carter Lake Marina (61 mi)
Be ready.
- Air in your tires, gears shifting correctly, TWO water bottles and energy (food). We are happy to look over your bike before we ride but we will not have time to do any mechanical work. Please check you bike at home (maybe now) to see if you need anything before the ride. Eat a healthy breakfast, have on the cycling gear you ride in, you MUST wear a safe helmet to ride with the Club.
