Greetings from Distinctive Inns of New England

Fall arrived this year in all its glory, with an extended season of warm weather.  In fact, many of our summer gardens are still in bloom! The beauty of fall in New England is that color starts in mid-September in the Northern reaches and extends until November in the Southern reaches of DINE country. Plan soon, and you may just get in on some leaf peeping in our Southern coastal areas. And it's not too early to start planning for that holiday getaway too.

We've been busy adding travel ideas, and beautiful images and recipes from our inns on the DINE blog.
Just in case you've missed one or two of our blog entries and recipes over the past month or two, we've provided recaps to some of the favorite blog entries below.

Stay tuned for our next DINE newsletter and don't miss our announcement about the all-new 12 Days of Christmas promotion coming up this year.

Hey coffee lovers, that cuppa Joe is making you healthy. Have another!
Good news for coffee drinkers, that daily cuppa Joe you crave each morning not only gives you the energy you need, but it makes you smarter, healthier and happier too. We've often thought that perhaps B&Bs should be called ABC's: Amazing Beds and Coffee!  We know that coffee is just as important a part of our guests' stay as the homemade breakfasts and hospitality we offer up.  That's why each day at a DINE inn starts with a piping hot cup of coffee.  A romantic getaway at any of our 12 DINE inns simply wouldn't be complete without that fresh cuppa Joe each morning.  Coffee is quite possibly the new champagne, so raise your mugs and toast to all the health benefits of coffee after reading this story.

Think twice before cancelling your inn stay
The scenario: Rain is in the forecast for your upcoming stay at one of the Distinctive Inns of New England. Your first inclination is to call and cancel.  Why is that a bad idea?  With N'oreasters often threatening, and on the cusp of winter, we know that weather impacts plans.  It certainly impacts the bottom line for small businesses like inns and B&Bs too.  Let's look at the effect your cancellation has on a DINE inn.

Fall Foliage Photo Album
The beauty of planning a romantic getaway to a DINE inn is that fall colors gradually turn from early September into Mid-November depending on which state you visit. So time your outdoor fun right, and you can follow the color from the Northern reaches to the Southern parts of DINE country. It's not too late to still enjoy some leaf peeping in Southern New England.

Meet Our Mascots
Whether you travel with your four-legged friends or miss them terribly when you travel, fear not.  Distinctive Inns of New England have you covered.  Among the 12 DINE inns, you'll find a number of mascots serving as not only welcome committee but part-time pet for when you travel, and some pet-friendly room choices too.  While all 12 of the inns offer up the ideal New England romantic getaway, a few among the group either offer pet-friendly rooms or loan you their feline "mascats" or pups to fill the void for your pet who stayed home.
