THIS JUST IN: Sony Studios wants to motivate every Girl Scout to reach a little higher this cookie season with the chance to win tickets to a private, pre-premiere screening of 1D3D, a One Direction 3-D movie on the Sony Studios Lot!

Up to 200 ambitious girls will be invited to a private reception followed by an exclusive screening of the hottest movie of the summer, 1D3D featuring the popular band, One Direction. Be the first to see the movie before the general public!

    HOW CAN YOU WIN TICKETS?
Every girl has a chance to win tickets whether you’re a first-time seller, a girl who just started selling, or a cookie program veteran. Names/troops will be selected through three drawings, but to enter each drawing, you must strive to meet one of the criteria below:

    1. DRAWING #1 (TROOP OR GROUP)

PICK UP A CASE, EARN AN ENTRY. PICK UP MORE CASES, EARN MORE ENTRIES: For every case (or 12 boxes) picked up at a cupboard between 2/28-3/10, the troop/group will earn one (1) entry. The more cases a troop/group picks up, the more entries they will get in this drawing. Cases picked up through even exchanges do not qualify – only new, net boxes will count.

3-5 winning troops/groups will be drawn (depending on winning troop sizes). Winning troops/groups can bring all girls in the troop/group who participated in the 2013 Cookie Program, plus 2 adults.

    2. DRAWING #2 (TROOP OR GROUP)

GET A PER GIRL AVERAGE OF 12+ GIFT OF CARING “BOXES”, EARN AN ENTRY:
Any troop/group which has a per girl average of 12 Gift of Caring Boxes per girl in the troop/group will get one (1) entry in this drawing. Troops/groups can only earn one entry each in this drawing.

3-5 winning troops/groups will be drawn (depending on winning troop sizes). Winning troops/groups can bring all girls in the troop/group who participated in the 2013 Cookie Program, plus two adults.

    3. DRAWING #3 (GIRL)

ANY GIRL WHO SELLS AT LEAST 120 BOXES THROUGHOUT THE COOKIE SEASON EARNS ONE ENTRY. FOR EVERY ADDITIONAL 12 BOXES, SHE EARNS ANOTHER ENTRY: For example: if a girl sells 240 boxes total this season, she earns one (1) entry for the first 120, PLUS 10 additional entries for the remaining 120 boxes, giving her 11 entries total into this drawing.

Dozens of individual girls will be drawn (exact number TBD). One parent or guardian must accompany a girl. Girls can only win one ticket.

Please note that tickets are limited; not every girl or troop who enters will win.

FINAL PUSH TO THE FINISH LINE
Girls are about one week away from the end of another great Girl Scout Cookie Season. Here are a few strategies that can get every girl to her goal:

    1. Call your existing customers! Most are ready for another order of Girl Scout Cookie yumminess.

    2. Load up the wagon and hit the neighborhood. Many customers have told us they are waiting for a Girl Scout to come to their door. CUSTOMERS WANT TO BUY COOKIES. Go door-to-door to make sure everyone has the chance. Drop off your cookie business card if no one is home.

    3. Resend emails to your Cookie Club list. The Cookie Club has been refreshed for the “One More Box” campaign.

    4. "Last chance to buy cookies!" Using this phrase compels customers to get them while they can. They can always freeze some for later. Remind them that cookies disappear until next January!

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVS IN THE COOKIE MOBILE CONTEST!
Voting for the Cookie Mobile Contest starts on Monday, 3/4! Keep checking the GSGLA Facebook Page or Cookie & Nut Friends Facebook Page to vote for your favorite cookie mobiles and help these creative, hardworking Girl Scouts win a pizza party for their troop! Voting closes on 3/11.

EVEN EXCHANGE PERIOD ENDS ON 3/6
Troops are currently enjoying the flexibility of the EVEN EXCHANGE and BOX LEVEL PICKUP policies at the cupboards. Please note that while we will continue to allow pickups by the box level (instead of whole cases), the EVEN EXCHANGE period does end on March 6. Please check the cupboard schedule to verify when your cupboard’s last day to exchange is. For example, the Montclair Service Center cupboard is closed on March 6, so exchanges need to be completed by March 5 at this cupboard.

COOKIE CLUB: YOUR SECRET SELLING WEAPON
More than 18,000 boxes have been sold via the Cookie Club. This is an average of 5.5 boxes per order. Do you sell 5.5 boxes per customer at a booth? Cookie Club makes it easy. Get on it!

BOOTH SLEUTHS ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!
Volunteers, mentors, and GSGLA staff are roaming all over Los Angeles looking for girl booths! Are you ready? These secret shoppers are looking to inspect booths, quiz girls on cookie facts, and verify that everything is done with safety in mind. Beware! That next customer could be a Booth Sleuth! Girls who impress the Booth Sleuth will receive one of several unique items designed especially for this activity. If you have been sleuthed, Facebook it and "tag" GSGLA's Facebook Page!

THE POWER OF ONE MORE BOX
"One more box" can get her to the next incentive tier, help her surpass her original goal, or boost her self-esteem to a new level. What can you suggest to customers to help your girl sell "one more box" or more?

    • buy one more box to donate to the Gift of Caring program

    • buy their favorites and one more box of a friend's favorite

    • buy cookies for now, and one more box (or two, or three) to store in the freezer for later
