CHILDHOOD TRAUMA TEAM IN THE NEWS
The Manchester team that responds when children experience trauma (Adverse Childhood Experience Response Team, or ACERT) was visited by a delegation from Wales near the end of March, gaining even more recognition for having helped over 200 children since its inception last summer.
In another news story about Manchester Police Chief Nick Willard's invitation to a White House Superbowl party, ACERT was given top billing as a topic of discussion in Washington, DC.
MCHC is the lead agency for Project LAUNCH and ACERT.

WE'LL SEE YOU FOR BREAKFAST ON TUESDAY, MAY 9
Have you let us know you're attending the 10th annual Morning Matters Breakfast? Held at the Radisson Hotel Manchester Downtown, Morning Matters raises funds to provide exceptional medical care for over 6,500 of Manchester’s children.
"As a mom of three young children I know how crucial it is to have access to quality health care," says this year's emcee, Erin Fehlau,"It is vital that children get regular check-ups and be able to seek treatment when they are ill. Good health is an important step along the path to success for children. I am happy to help with this event which supports the mission of Child Health Services at MCHC."
This year's keynote speaker is Rona Zlokower, Executive Director of Media Power Youth, a media literacy program which has become nationally recognized for changing the way kids think about and use media.
