EVENTS AT MCHC
Prescription for Fun!
Family Fun Day and Health Fair
On August 14, we hosted our annual Family Fun Day and Health Fair. The event reached over 225 people!

Senator Maggie Hassan joined in the fun and showed her continued support of community health centers nationwide.

Thank you to all local organizations and sponsors that made this year's event a success!

This annual event celebrates National Health Center Week , which recognizes the accomplishments of health centers to serve over 25 million Americans.
HEALTH EQUITY COLLECTIVE IMPACT CONVENING
MCHC's Health Equity Coordinator, Selma Tarahija, attended the Collective Impact Convening in Boston this summer. The event brought together professionals who use the Collective Impact approach to promote social change by addressing complex, systemic issues in healthcare.
ACERT SERVES OVER 250 CHILDREN IN FIRST YEAR
Manchester's latest collaborative provides support and linkages to children exposed to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE).

In its first year, the Adverse Childhood Experiences Response Team (ACERT) has reached over 250 children in Manchester who experience trauma, like drug misuse and domestic violence.

ACERT was formed in 2016 by the Manchester Police Department, the YWCA and MCHC's Lara Quiroga, in response to the overwhelming need for child support services soon after an ACE is reported.

Lara Quiroga was recently interviewed on New Hampshire Public Radio about the program's success. Read the article and listen to the interview HERE

WE COULDN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU
We want to thank the Employees of Associated Grocers of NE and AG Supermarkets  with their $4,000 grant for general support. We also want to thank the Mary and Charles Howe Family Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation for a $1,000 grant for general support.

As always, MCHC relies on the generosity of our community to deliver the excellent care and wraparound services that keep our patients healthy.
