A Message from Mrs. Gioe
Welcome to a new school year! What a summer it has been. It is truly hard to believe that we are beginning our second year together. I am looking forward to working with the faculty, students, and families again this year. As we begin this year, we do so with great energy and excitement.
On Tuesday, Most Blessed Sacrament hosted over 900 educators from across the Diocese of Baton Rouge at the annual Diocesan Educator’s Gathering where we were challenged to bear witness of our Catholic Faith to our students. On Wednesday, our faculty gathered for our annual retreat. This time spent together as a faculty helps to center us in Christ as we begin each year together as a family of faith who have been called to educate our Parish children. Special thanks to David Planche and the Office of Christian Formation staff for the gift of this special day. The retreat theme this year was "Cultivate Kindness". This theme will also carry over as our school theme for the 2017-2018 school year.
Phillipians 4:5 reads “Let your kindness be shown to all.” When we let our kindness shine, then we cultivate a culture of kindness within our communities, our schools, our homes, our families and ourselves. This year, I challenge all of us to cultivate kindness in all that we do, remembering that kindness is always an option. Here’s looking forward to a great year filled with kindness and love!
In Christ,
Cheri Gioe
