In
celebrating the Feast of the Epiphany, the three wise men followed the star that led them to the Baby Jesus. Not only was there the LIGHT
of the star, but also the greatest
LIGHT
for the world...JESUS the son of God. Jesus is the LIGHT of the world and when we are baptized we become part of that light. As we come to know Jesus and grow in wisdom, age, and grace, we are responsible for becoming the Light of Christ and carrying Jesus to all corners of the world.
In the biblical story, the kings brought great gifts to the Baby Jesus, but in the end they found God’s magnificent and perfect gift...His only Son who would eventfully die for us. The kings recognized Jesus as the promised one and fell to the ground to honor him. When they rose and placed their precious gifts at his feet, they left to spread the great news and share the Light to the world.
As we close this Christmas season, we know Jesus is the reason for the season, and in knowing this, until He returns again, we must be his hands, feet, and heart and the face of Jesus to all.

From the Office of Child Protection
Parent notices have been going out for the past year concerning the Diocesan requirement of volunteers/employees to update their training and/or code of ethics. In January the Diocese is going to do a system sweep of all volunteers/employees who have not completed the required updates. When this is done, if you are one of the volunteers/employees who have not completed the required updates, you will be non-compliant to volunteer/work at our School or Parish.
Please note that this requirement of updating the training and code of ethics is mandated by Louisiana law.
