Field Trip Reminder:
Parents,
Please remember that to participate in SCHOOL field trips, parents MUST have done Child Protection mandates for Schools which includes:
- a finger print background check done at the State Police
Parish mandates for child protection are different and if you went through the process for scouting, PARISH athletics, etc. this process does not meet what is legislated for Schools.
If you have been background checked and finger printed for MBS School, then you should meet the mandates required.
Please email the Office of Child Protection at
[email protected]
if you have questions.

Dear Parents of 7th and 8th Graders:
Audubon Nature Institute and the New Orleans Museum of Art, in partnership with the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation, reward students in 7th-12th grade with free annual membership based on their GPA. Calculated on 3rd nine weeks, students earning 2.5-2.9 GPA are
Taylor Students
and receive a FREE one-year membership to Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium, and the New Orleans Museum of Art. Students earning a 3.0+ GPA are
Taylor Scholars
and receive the same benefits as Taylor Students, plus a FREE one-year membership to Audubon Zoo. This year, I was excited to award 84 Taylor Scholars and 21 Taylor Students with certificates of FREE membership! Ask your student about their certificate so that you can enjoy this benefit of their hard work.
Congratulations!,
Michelle DiBenedetto, School Counselor
