Save the Date for the 2017 St. Bernards Medical Group Health and Fitness Expo! Join us April 22-23 for this two-day event that includes something for everyone. 

This event will feature free health screenings, over 120 booths related to health and fitness, physician panel discussions, healthy cooking kitchen demonstrations, as well as a jam-packed kids' zone including a healthy treasure hunt. The 10th annual Doc Rock and Run 5K and half-marathon will be held on Saturday morning and student athlete pre-participation physical evaluations will be offered on Sunday.

We also will have a very special guest joining us this year: Miss America 2017 Savvy Shields. She will participate in various activities Saturday morning including a cooking demonstration in the Healthy Cooking Kitchen.

Honoring Breast Cancer Survivors at the Pink Game

A-State Pink Game.

breast cancer survivors were honored at the A-State Women's Basketball game. 

 

The survivors, who had all received treatment at St. Bernards, were celebrated at half-time and each was given a gift. A photo booth was set up before the game to raise awareness of breast cancer symptoms and treatment.

St. Bernards will continue the celebration of survivors and fight against breast cancer at the inaugural Northeast Arkansas Race for the Cure. St. Bernards Healthcare and Medical Group have joined together as the founding sponsor of the event, which will be held Saturday, May 6, on the A-State campus.

Physician Spotlight: Dr. Timothy Dow

Dr. Timothy Dow
Dow grew up in Oklahoma, but northeast Arkansas feels like home. 
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Dow moved to Trumann, where he first practiced medicine and met his wife. Over the next several years, he built a practice in Jonesboro before moving back to Oklahoma to serve as a physician for the Cherokee Nation.

Sign Up for the Indoor Triathlon
This Saturday

It's all about how hard you "tri" at the Indoor Triathlon this weekend at the St. Bernards Health & Wellness Center.
 
As part of the Get in Gear Fitness series, this event will feature a 300-meter swim, a five-mile bike ride and a two-mile run, all of which will be indoors. The event will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 11.

The kids' portion of the event, scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and also completely indoors, will feature a 200-meter swim, two-mile bike ride and a one-mile run.
