Excel English are getting a new pond!
With 2011 coming to an end, Excel, our School of the Week, are making sure that their school is fit and ready for 2012. As well as the new Interactive Whiteboards that they are installing in their classrooms, they are also improving the garden, making it an even nicer place for their students to relax in.
So, in addition to the existing garden, where students relax during breaks and after class with their friends, Excel will also have a pond area with seating for those students who would like a little peace and quiet. The pond has already been built and Excel are expecting the waterfall to be completed soon. Then in the spring, plants will be added to create a little haven of peace and tranquillity in the heart of Muswell Hill, London.
LILA* are proud to announce the launch of a new website
Following the successful redesign and development of the school interior, LILA* have also given their website a makeover. LILA*s expansion and recent relocation naturally led to a redesign of the website to reflect the vibrant graphic interior of the school.

Why do you think your school is a Quality school? Well I hope and feel that we are a good fit with Quality English, we are constantly trying to improve the standards or quality of our services, looking at all elements - from classroom furniture and equipment, to teacher development and refresher courses, standards and range of accommodation options etc. We do not accept that what we have now is going to be good enough for tomorrow.
I think that Quality English also represents this desire to be the best that we can be in the Language School Business but at the same time remembering that we must always show a genuine interest, respect and understanding of our students needs and wishes.
What made you join QE?
We joined QE for several reasons, the main reason was to become part of an organisation whose core values focus on the delivery of good quality language courses, good quality accommodation services and an overall aim to please each individual client. The second reason was to be able to promote ourselves as being part of this group of special Schools and to join their marketing events, to present the Horner School of English to a wider audience.
Why would you recommend QE from what you know so far?
Yes we definitely recommend Quality English to both Language Schools and Agents. All QE Schools are independently owned and managed, therefore each School has a unique "personality" and therefore can deliver a unique experience, however at the same time you know that the quality of their programmes will be of the highest standards. All QE Schools are recognised by the appropriate authority in their country and have regular inspections by the QE management too.
What are the main reasons to recommend Dublin to a foreign student wishing to learn English?
Dublin is a wonderful city in which to study English. The city is vibrant and exciting, a large percentage of the population are aged under 25 years. The Irish people are famous for their warm welcome, we are a friendly people who love to talk.

Excel English offers extra support for overseas teachers
Excel English and our experienced teacher trainer team have designed two unique new courses for 2012. The first - for teachers of English - offers an insight into British culture, including related excursions and day trips. The second - vital for those who teach different subjects in English - offers language improvement together with presentation skills. Although new to Excel English, both these courses retain the excellent quality of teaching and support that our students have come to expect for over 20 years!
Southbourne School of English UKNew summer FEC course in Bournemouth for 2012 The summer FCE exam is only offered in the UK and takes place in August. It is an ideal chance for those who think they may not have performed well earlier in the year to re-take, ideal for those who want to 'get ahead' in the school year and take the exam, and ideal for those who may need a little extra input before taking the exam. Quality Control visits to UK schools

| This has been a 'bumper' year for Quality Control visits. Eighteen schools have been visited altogether. After the visits to Ireland in October we have now been to Wimbledon, BEET, ILS English and the Lake in Oxford as well.
The QE schools must have a 'quality control' check every three years - and one important part of this is meetting the students and asking what they think about their experience. Here are some extracts from the reports.
Wimbledon School of English "Wimbledon School of English has succeeded in reaching a very high level of student satisfaction through exemplary standards in all areas. The professional team, which must have taken much time and care to build, goes about its business in such a way that ensures that the school remains a Quality school in every sense of the word."
BEET Language Centre "BEET is an example of a school that has consistently strived for the highest possible standards throughout and this endeavour continues unabated. There are many instances of excellence in the school as is well borne out by the 2009 accreditation report. This is all in the face of and in spite of the very serious threats that the UK EFL industry faces from the UK government. BEET has succeeded in reaching a very high level of student satisfaction and this was evident from the positive comments expressed by the students interviewed and feedback seen. QE once again has a 'refreshed' knowledge of the school which it can use in its promotion within the QE brand." ILS English "ILS English has succeeded in reaching a high level of student satisfaction and this was evident from the positive comments expressed by the students interviewed and the general ambiance in the school. Since the last visit academic standards have clearly improved. The school is a great example of a dynamic and forward looking establishment that can offer standard and bespoke courses in a wide range of executive, scientific, engineering and other specialisms. They leave no stones unturned in their quest for exciting new opportunities and the fulfilment of their clients' needs and aspirations." Lake School of English "The Lake School has succeeded in reaching a very high level of student satisfaction and this was evident from the positive comments expressed by the students interviewed. Once again this very professional school has shown QE that it continues to run at the very highest standards, right across the board. Any suggestions QE might have had, such as refurbishing the entrance area, the school is addressing anyway. Otherwise there were very few suggestions at all." |
