LCC Announces New Executive Director Jessica Cavazos
Please help us welcome our new Executive Director Jessica Cavazos. Jessica will start in her new position on Thursday, September 1st. Cavazos was formerly the President of the Eleva Group, an organization whose mission was to create social programs, help non-profits with governance issues and assist for-profit and non-profit entities in implementing initiatives aimed at promoting actions that are both economically and socially beneficial. In addition to her work with the Eleva Group, Cavazos has extensive experience in government relations, policy, community engagement and business development. She also worked as a Congressional Liaison for eight years in the office of Congresswoman Gwen Moore. Jessica can be contacted at [email protected].

Radio Show on La Movida 1480 AM

Viva Mexico Festival 2016

This session will work with the online edition of QuickBooks. Participants will learn to set up customers, create new products or services and invoices, and receive payments relating to Accounts Receivable. You will also learn how to set up new vendors, create a bill, and pay a bill relating to Accounts Payable. There will be a time for Q&A, so please bring your QuickBooks questions!

Created 12 years ago, this fundraising event combines the love for salsa dancing and the commitment and generosity of our community. This event helps to maintain, strengthen and support the high level of service of The Rainbow Project. The Rainbow Project provides evidence-based crisis & ongoing treatment for young children and their families who have experienced trauma: child abuse, child sexual abuse, neglect, community violence and domestic violence. The event features a very diverse crowd; it is a time when the business sector, government officials, the community and "salseros" all come together for a night of dancing and fun while raising money for a good cause.

Overture Center Announces New Director of Diversity and Inclusion
Edward S. Holmes, PhD. has joined the staff of the Overture Center as Director of Diversity and Inclusion.
A press conference and official welcome will be held at Overture Center on Thursday, September 15 at 4:00 p.m.
Dr. Holmes has 38 years of experience in community-based and public educational programs including ten years as Principal at Madison West High School.
"As the principal of West High School, I was responsible for leading a diverse student body and 250 staff members daily. We advanced equity, inclusion and diversity as an institutional value that was at the core of the day to day operation and overall mission, vision and philosophy of the school," said Holmes. "The opportunity to work with the community using the arts as a catalyst is very exciting."
