Slow Food Philadelphia

Slow Food is a non-profit member supported International movement, founded in 1989 to counter the rise of fast food and fast life, the disappearance of local food traditions and people's dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our food choices affect the rest of the world.

GRAND FOOD, BEER, AND WINE TASTING LAUNCH EVENT

We have decided to adopt a process of endorsing specific restaurants, caterers, and food markets/coops that we feel confident in listing on our website for you to make good choices.  The initial list of selected businesses have been chosen for their dedication to providing good and healthy food and also for genuinely purchasing and supporting local food purveyors in our region.

We want to launch our program and honor these establishments by hosting a GRAND FOOD, BEER, AND WINE TASTING LAUNCH EVENT Monday evening, November 14th, from 7pm to 9pm at the Reading Terminal Market Center Court, evening entrance on 12th & Filbert Sts. along with entertainment provided by the University of the Arts Jazz All Stars.
