Charles Johnson, Esq.
Charles S. Johnson, III is a seasoned trial lawyer and counselor to entities in the public and private sector. His practice currently focuses in the areas of public policy and complex business disputes. 


Mr. Johnson began his legal career as an antitrust lawyer and served as adjunct professor of antitrust law at the University of Georgia Law School. His antitrust practice has included service as principal Georgia antitrust counsel for a major automobile manufacturer and as coordinating antitrust counsel for a national insurance rating organization.

Attorney Johnson is clearly a brand his peers and the legal profession look to on significant matters that effect education, culture, civil rights, government and the nation's advancement public policies that charge us all in the fight for justice. Attorney Johnson is a notable National Bar Association 2014 Hall of Fame Inductee and gracing the hour of Game Changers for us to congratulate him on that and his many honors. We will also speak with Attorney Johnson about his reasons for founding Advocacy for Action, a nonprofit primarily dedicated to educating the community about the importance of and how to achieve a diverse and representative judiciary in Georgia.
Thomas Sampson, Esq.
Thomas ("Tom") G. Sampson is the Managing Partner of Thomas Kennedy Sampson, & Tompkins, and is the product of a family steeped in the law. His roots are in Durham, where his father, the late Daniel George Sampson, was a law professor and Dean at North Carolina Central University. Like his father, Sampson graduated from Morehouse College and sought a career in the law. He has since practiced law for more than 35 years, building a national trial practice and reputation in the fields of personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice litigation.

Sampson has represented the City of Atlanta and the State of Georgia in major litigation, and has prosecuted catastrophic injury cases resulting in several record setting, seven figure verdicts in state and federal court. Additionally, Sampson has successfully represented Fortune 500 corporations in major litigation.

Locally, Atlanta Magazine has consistently included Sampson in its list of the "Best Lawyers in Atlanta," and he has been a Georgia "Super Lawyer" in every year of its existence, an honor reserved for the top 5 percent of the lawyers in the State. In 2006, Morehouse College honored Sampson with its Bennie Trailblazer Award, the highest level of recognition bestowed upon alumni by the College.

Attorney Thomas A. Cox, Jr. is rated "AV," the highest rating attainable, by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. He also was recognized as a Georgia "Super Lawyer" and is currently featured in Who's Who In Black Atlanta. Game Changers has attained him for the hour of 7.19.14 and wants you to hear about his recent run for Fulton County Superior Court Judge, and his litigation experiences as a Member of the Firm in the Labor and Employment and Litigation practices of the firm's Atlanta and Washington, DC, offices. 
Attorney Cox most recently became the new partner of Lewis Brisbois Bisgarrd & Smith LLP, an American Lawyer top 100 Firm with 800 lawyers and 25 offices across the country. Attorney Cox moved into his office with the firm, overlooking the historic Piedmont Park at the firm's Midtown Atlanta office.
