Now that Spark has delivered the #0 Nissan DeltaWing - the final release in their 2012 LeMans collection - it's time to take a look at what the model companies have planned for 2013:
- Spark Model: Spark has announced their intention to produce all but the Ferraris and the ill-fated #95 Aston Martin in 1/43 scale. We expect them to add a 1/18 version of the winning Audi R-18 and perhaps the second-placed Nissan. We will list these piece on our website when confirmed.
We expect the first releases from Spark around year end. As of now, Spark's 1/43 scale models are priced at $74.00 but as we've seen recently, they have adjusted pricing in the first quarter of each year. If that holds true, it will effect the delivery price of models released after that point. Sorry, but it's out of our hands.
- BBR & Fujimi: Both BBR and Fujimi have announced 1/43 scale replicas of all 8 Ferrari 458 Italia GT2s that took part in this year's 24 Hours of LeMans. The BBR's will be numbered Limited Editions (Edition size to be determined) and priced at a very reasonable (for BBR) $129.95.
Fujimi's Ferraris will be available for $90.00 each. Packaging isn't quite as elaborate as BBR but the models are quite nice.
