Empowering You to Make a Difference // October 2013
,

Leadership Pikes Peak is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2014 Women's Community Leadership Initiative (WCLI) program. WCLI is an education and leadership development program that seeks to empower women of modest means, many of whom may have been dependent on government or nonprofit community support, who are working to better their future. The program curriculum provides knowledge and tools to women looking to improve their situation and move beyond basic self-sufficiency.

A 2013 graduate said the following about WCLI:

"WCLI gave me the tools to become a leader in the community, and to reach my career and educational goals. Now I can be an active part of change and progress in the community."

Please help us identify women who might be interested in participating in this free program. An electronic application is available at http://www.leadershippikespeak.org/programs-2/wcli/. The application deadline is November 22, 2013. Feel free to share the link on Facebook. To receive printed flyers/applications call or email me: [email protected].

Classes start in January (a full list of dates is on the website). Each class session is held at a different community location. Dinner is included and a stipend for childcare is available.

Thank you for your support and willingness to help us recruit this next class of future leaders.

Sincerely,
Sylvia Sedrak
