The story behind the book....
I knew how important archiving his childhood would be (rely on my memory? Hardly!), but when it was time to find a baby book, there was nothing that had the personal touch I was wanting. I knew I wanted it to be graphically beautiful, with colorful details beyond the pastel teddy bears that are so played out. But I also wanted it to have places for me to journal the journey of pregnancy, the first days of meeting him, and places for pictures and notes from friends and family.
So, when I couldn't find something a book that I wanted for my son's keepsake, I made my own. After I did, I had questions and requests from people who saw it and wanted one like it. I modified my son's book to make it adorable for a boy or a girl, and it is now part of the collection at Come Together Cards.
This baby book has 26 pages and is full color. Every page has room for photos, journaling, and places to record and stash those special sweet details. There is a page for everything-- including a sonogram picture, a page for cards from family and friends, and a page for the hospital memorabilia. The great thing about being pregnant while I was designing a baby book is that I was able to think of everything I wanted in the book. When a situation arose that was not addressed, I just added a new page! I find it to be the perfect amount of information for the first year and beyond.
