Time Commitment: Various times and dates available, including at your own availability 

Details: Growing Hope needs skilled volunteers to help complete our house renovations so we can open the GH Center this year! Can you help out or lead just one of them?  We'll buy the materials!  Below are some projects that need to be completed in the next few months:  

• Window work- Install glass block windows in basement and repair storm windows
• Repair/replace trim on exterior and fix metal gutters 
• Door work- replace/repair several doors
• Portable Saw Mill work (one big tree already felled) 
• Basement/garage shelf design and building 
• Welding- design and build metal bars for windows (great for welding students, artists, or others!)

Position: Raised Bed Installer 

Time Commitment: Mondays and Wednesday 2-7PM 

Details: We will be installing the raised beds with low-income households throughout the spring. We assemble the beds on site and fill them with compost. It is a great way to interact with local community members and see the impact of your volunteerism first hand!

Position: Farmer's Market Volunteer

Time Commitment: Tuesdays between 10am-7pm

Details: Our Downtown Ypsilanti Farmers' Market is able to run smoothly because of the great volunteer help we receive. There are many ways to help us have a successful market day, whether that is harvesting plants at the GHC in the morning, assisting with set-up of market tents & tables before the market, being a counter or a hands-on helper at the market itself, or helping tear-down the market afterwards!
