Participate in the HackUConn Hackathon!
    The UConn Entrepreneurship and Innovation Society's second annual Hackathon (a fast-paced 24-hour event that promotes a collaborative effort among teams to innovate and invent) will be taking place in NextGen Hall this year. The event will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 24th and will conclude at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 25th. Students are encouraged to participate and push the boundaries of creativity and innovation to create a solution around this year's theme: Allergy Risk. Helping millions survive and thrive. Participants will receive free food, a shirt and prizes will be awarded to the winning teams. For more information, visit www.hackuconn.org.

Attend the first Annual LC Talks Event!
The Learning Community Executive Council is hosting the first LC Talks event. This event, which is similar to the well-known TedTalks series, is aimed at providing a platform for students to share interesting perspectives about their world and activities that they are engaged in, with their peers. Attend this event to hear awesome talks from current LC students!

Learning Community Ambassadors (LCAs) represent the Learning Community Program at various prospective and current student recruitment events. Responsibilities include speaking with prospective students and families, faculty and staff, and the broader University Community about all of UConn's Learning Communities and the unique opportunities they offer. Through training, meetings, and leadership opportunities, LCAs will develop professional skills such as public speaking, networking, and resume writing. Any undergraduate student who has experience living in a Learning Community may apply. 

The application deadline is March 31, 2017

The Learning Community Innovation Zone proudly welcomes Synchrony Financial as they present a workshop focused on integrating electric door locks, biometric fingerprint readers and NFC readers/writers with Raspberry Pi! Space is limited to 25 participants who will all receive a FREE RASPBERRY PI. Interested students should complete the form by clicking the following link:

Are you a beginner who is curious about how to create and work with your own 3D Models? Or maybe you would like to expand your current knowledge and gain more experience. Either way, visit the LCIZ during the following times and our Master Makers can work with you:
