We had the privilege this month of awarding Robert "Bid" and Jonette "Joni" Miller the first USD School of Education EDGE Award at the Center for Student and Professional Services Ribbon Cutting. The EDGE Award stands for E xcellence in your field, D edication to the School of Education, G enerosity to the School of Education and its students, and E mpowerment of our students. We created the award to honor all those who have a positive impact on the School of Education.

USD Head Start celebrated 40 years with a Family Fun Day on September 23 at the Vermillion Armory. Past and present staff, Head Start alumni, parents and community partners joined together to recognize the great resources available through early childhood education. Local community partner organizations and businesses provided activities, games, crafts and snacks.

OCTOBER 12 "Through My Eyes" Art Expedition and Silent Auction - Join us in the Muenster University Center (MUC) Ballroom A from 9AM-1PM to view visual art honoring American Veterans created by students and support the silent auction with funds going to aid the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3061.
