Lease signed for Sevierville facility with goal of reaching millions     

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. -- For the next two years, Holston Conference will lease "The Gathering," a former church building on 49 acres near Dollywood Theme Park, in a bold attempt to reach millions of annual visitors to the Great Smoky Mountains.

Divine Rhythm: Reasons for young adults to stay in church?

GATLINBURG, Tenn. -- Fewer young people are sitting in the pews. We know that already, but the surveys and reports keep coming. As recently as December, a  National Congregations Study showed that 56 percent of adults in a typical mainline congregation are over 60 years old.

At Divine Rhythm, the Rev. Jasmine Smothers went where the research doesn't go.
