Unfortunately, this new role means I can no longer hold elective office. Therefore, I will be submitting my resignation as the Monroe County Legislator from the 16th District effective July 20th.
For the past four and a half years it has been a true honor to represent the great people of Irondequoit. Words cannot express the appreciation I have for them and I hope they are proud of the way I served them. Rest assured, my commitment to our community remains as strong as ever, which is why I've decided to focus exclusively on what has always been my top priority: our shared economic future.
I would also like to offer a heartfelt thank you to my family, friends and supporters, without whom my past and future service would not be possible. In particular I would like to thank my dear friend and mentor, Assemblyman Joe Morelle, for all he's done both professionally and personally for my family and me over the past 15 years.
This next chapter is sure to be filled with many challenges. I'm anxious to take them on, especially under the bold leadership of Governor Cuomo and Lieutenant Governor Bob Duffy.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact me any time if you have a question or if I can be of service.
