Lenski PTO Position Available: Technology Committee Lead
The Lenski PTO is looking for someone who is available and willing to shadow/partner with Suzette Loving to learn about and take over the unique, fun, creative, and rewarding Technology Committee board position for the next school year (2017/2018). The job description is below.  Please read and respond if you're interested in learning, sharing, and helping.
Technology Committee Lead
  • This role is responsible for guiding the Lenski Technology Advisory Committee.  The committee's role is to meet every other month with Lenski leadership and technology teachers to discuss technology happenings at school and guide spending from the PTO technology fund.
  • The committee is primarily comprised of full time working parents and the meetings have traditionally been held early morning prior to the start of the work day/school day.  The chairperson organizes these meetings, manages the technology fund, prepares the agenda and topics to be discussed at the meetings.  The meetings are usually comprised of a general update on school technology and a demonstration of technology in use by a teacher or a special speaker such as a district CIO.
  • The Lenski technology committee is responsible for organizing the annual Lenski Technology Golf Tournament which is the committee's only fundraiser and it is held at the end of the school year.  The chairperson (with help from the overall committee) is extremely involved in planning the tournament, securing the location, obtaining hole sponsorships and prizes, managing registration of foursomes and execution of the tournament.
  • This is a great opportunity to contribute leadership to the PTO while also being a full time working parent.
  • The time commitment from August - February is small - approximately 2-4 hours a month. The time commitment during March- April does rise due to the golf tournament.
  • The current chairperson is remaining in this position this year providing an opportunity for the incoming chairperson to shadow.
  • We are also open to accepting new Technology Advisory Committee members any time during the year.
This position is perfect for someone who loves technology, innovation, creativity, high energy, and collaboration.  As lead of the Technology Committee, will be busy and dedicated to supporting the technology needs of the Lenski Community.  If you have the time and heart to dedicate to Lenski's technological (r)evolution and mission then please let us know!

Interested? Contact   Suzette Loving.
