Lenten Study: Thursday with Soup!
The Joy of the Gospel - A six-session study course on sharing faith (Paula Gooder)
The Joy of the Gospel - A six-session study course by Paula Gooder
Study Sessions on Thursdays in Lent beginning Thursday, 2nd March
from 6:30 p.m. in the Chaplain's Apartment
A simple Lenten meal is provided (soup & bread, with fruit for dessert)

This six-part course for parishes and Lent groups is based on Pope Francis' much acclaimed recent reflections on mission and evangelism, published as Evangelii Gaudium ('The Joy of the Gospel'). Widely recognised as offering wisdom and vision for all Christians in a culture that is often hostile to the church, Evangelii Gaudium offers a positive and realistic approach to sharing faith in the modern world. Paula Gooder introduces its key themes to readers in all denominations and challenges them to consider its application in their own contexts.

This year's Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner takes place
on Tuesday, 28 February from 6 to 8 p.m.
Once again the Sunday Club families are organising our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner. This year the Sunday Club has decided that donations collected at the dinner will go in support of Emily and Ben Rolfe's campaign to raise funds for diabetes research by running the Marathon des Sables in April (see below).
Emily & Ben in training for the Sahara

Here is a message from Emily Rolfe, "My dad and I are training to run the Marathon des Sables, the 'world's toughest footrace', a 250km run in the Sahara Desert, from the 7th to the 17th of April 2017. To encourage us in our journey, through the intense training and during the race itself, you can help us raise funds for a £19,500 Diabetes UK project.
