Miss Widner's News
Dear Students, Parents, Grandparents, and Staff,
We are winding down in our journey to the Triduum and Easter! On Thursday, March 29 we will have our wonderful, spiritual representation of the Way of the Cross. We hope you all can come to this awesome experience. It is held in the church. These forty days of Lent have gone by so quickly. I hope and pray that all of you have a joyful Easter with your families. Spring Break follows, and I believe everyone is looking forward to some down time. If you are traveling, I pray you have safe travels. I am headed to Cincinnati- not actually the warmest place in the country! I am presenting at a conference on data folders and Student Led Conferences (something our school does very well!)
Fourth quarter is upon us!! Report cards go home on Thursday. Please look them over, sign them, and return them after Spring Break. If you have any questions or concerns, please call or email your child's teacher(s) after break. Also, be sure to put 2 stamps on your report card envelope. We mail the last report card. We appreciate your help with the stamps. With fourth quarter comes uniform shorts. Students are now permitted to wear uniform shorts.  Please be conscious of the fact that sometimes our children have grown a few inches and our shorts have shrunk a few inches. You might have to purchase new uniform shorts or go to the Resale Shop at school. Students may wear navy blue, khaki uniform shorts. No cargo shorts are permitted. Also, students are not permitted to wear hoodies to school. The only sweatshirt that is permitted is the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton maroon crew sweatshirt. Please refer to the handbook for uniform guidelines.
Finally, with Lent being over, it is now time to turn in your Rice Bowls. If you have now turned them in, please turn them in on Thursday, March 29. The proceeds go to Catholic Charities!!

Have a wonderful Easter and Spring Break!
Miss Widner

Starbase Summer Camps
Announcing: STARBASE Indiana-Fort Wayne's 2018 Summer Camps!
Our summer camps explore the best of our local community STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) collaborations. As an extension to learning at our host STARBASE locations, we travel around our local communities to bring students the latest in STEAM learning. We pack these 5-day programs with any of the following: computer design, aviation investigations, the science of baseball, robotics programming, 3D printing or one of our very favorites-rocket launches. Along with experiments and rocket launches, we know campers are also building skills in observation, investigation, science, technology, engineering, and math. Not to mention confidence!
Advanced Camp Week: This hands-on project features a High-Altitude Balloon (HAB) Launch. Campers will build
projects which include on-board cameras for recording of balloon travels, and data analysis of camper designed experiments.
June 11 - 15, 2018 - Camp Week 1
Eligibility: Campers eligible for Advanced Camp include campers entering 7th, 8th, or 9th grades.
