Let Him Curse! 3/22/17
Let Him Curse! 3/22/19

Ephesians 4:26 (KJV)
26  Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Ephesians 4:31 (KJV)
31  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Romans 12:19-21 (KJV)
19  Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20  Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

21  Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Too often, WE Christians refuse to heed the Bible and its wisdom, opting instead for a man made principal:

" VENGEANCE IS BEST SERVED COLD!!!"

Why is it WE attempt to defend ourselves, all the while KNOWING and BELIEVING that our God PROMISES:

" VENGEANCE IS MINE; I WILL REPAY, SAITH THE LORD!"

Did not our Lord proclaim:

Luke 6:26 (KJV)
26  Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

The WISE among us will much profit by HEEDING the Words of the Apostle James:

James 5:7-11 (KJV)
7  Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

8  Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

9  Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

10  Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

11  Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

I, also, am WELL acquainted with the almost impossibility to.................................

Psalm 34:13 (KJV)
13  Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

I learned and continue to learn "that a GRUDGE is the heaviest burden one can bear in this life!!!"

In my DAILY Bible readings-which I have only recently began-these Words our Lord spoke touched me:

Matthew 18:3 (KJV)
3  And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Think about a child-they do NOT hold grudges!!!

They are not concerned with their "reputations" or how well they performed!

They do NOT become offended or defiant when properly corrected or criticized!

A wonderful example of love and forgiveness is found in the life of King David.

His own son, Absalom, had successfully wrested the kingdom from his father David.

As King David fled the throne, the son of the former King Saul began to CURSE David and cast stones at him.

King David was surrounded and protected by a host of mighty warriors and could easily have stopped:

2 Samuel 16:9 (KJV)
9  Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head.

David had done no evil to the man cursing him and please note David's rightful response:

2 Samuel 16:10-12 (KJV)
10  And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?

11  And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD hath bidden him.

12  It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.

TODAY, WHEN not IF, you find yourself is a similar situation:

" LET HIM ALONE, AND LET HIM CURSE.........

12  It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

GOD BLESS YOU!
