North Light is excited to announce that we will be re-imagining our community outdoor space, and wants YOU to design it! Over the summer, we will be working with KaBOOM, a national nonprofit that preserves playspaces by matching corporations with urban spaces to create new playgrounds. North Light will also be working with the Community Design Collaborative to re-imagine our remaining space; think outdoor classroom, greening, rain garden- let your imagination run wild!

We're calling on community members to provide input and sweat equity to create a space the neighborhood can be proud of!  Please help make this project a reality by participating in the design process or getting your hands dirty with the site preparation or the build itself. We need you to join us for one, a few, or all of the following dates/times:

Tuesday, July 22, 5:00-8:30pm - KaBOOM Playground Design Day (for Adults) Light supper served. Come review the children's drawings of a dream playground and use them to select playground equipment for your brand new playground! Help plan to make Build Day a success! RSVP today.

Thursday August 7, 6:00-8:00pm - Community Design Collaborative Planning Meeting - bring your imagination to create a beautiful & useful community space.

Saturday, September 27, 8:00am-5:00pm and/or Monday, September 29, TBA - Site Preparation - pitch in to remove the old playground and get the site ready for the new one.

Tuesday, September 30, 8:00am-3:00pm - Playground Build Day (All hands on deck!)

Thursday October 16th 6:00-8:00pm - Respond to the CDC design plans for North Light's other outdoor space that result from the August 7 session.
