A joyous community of Jewish women engaged in prayer,
study, and spiritual growth
Our next service will be Saturday, March 3
March is here (already?)
Please join us on Saturday, March 3. Services begin at 9:30 am, led by Rabbi August and Cantorial Soloist Cindy Paley. Be sure to stay for a delicious kiddush luncheon after services, sponsored by Leslie Geffen in honor of her 70th birthday and Rabbi August, who is honoring her daughter Lena, Rose Ziff and Xavier Atkins.
Another Lev Angel
Our Lev member, Kim Selfon, was recently honored by Bet Tzedek for her work in providing paralegal assistance to caregivers and families through legal and legislative advocacy.  Bet Tzedek means “House of Justice” and was built upon a central tenant of Jewish law and tradition “Tzedek, tzedek, tirdof - justice, justice you shall pursue.” Since its founding in 1974, Bet Tzedek has set the standard for innovation in public interest law. They have received $50 million worth of pro bono work from hundreds of LA attorneys and serve more than 40,000 disadvantaged clients with free legal services every year. We are beyond proud of Kim’s work and thank her for making a difference.
Special Shabbat Service Next Month
Be sure to join us on April 7 for a jam-packed Shabbat morning. We will start with a breakfast teaching by Rabbi August. Our service will include a Yizkor service and a special Passover-related performance by Jewish Women's Theatre, which will be incorporated into our Shabbat service.

Women's Weekend 2018
The last weekend in January, just a few short weeks ago, over 40 Lev women and their friends spent a creative, reflective, invigorating and relaxing weekend in the hills of Encino. We were on retreat from a world filled with the stresses and challenges of modern life. We sang, prayed, explored our spiritual side, created art, danced, and simply “hung out.” We made new friends. Spent time with cherished friends. And renewed our selves on a mini vacation!

As you enjoy these photos, know that YOU can be part of this magical weekend in 2019...MARCH 22-24 to be exact. Mark your calendar now. Invite a friend to join us. Give yourself the gift of a weekend with Rabbi August, Cindy, Robin, Joy, Sharon and Ruth and your Lev sisters!

Couldn't Make It to Lev Last Month?
If you missed Rabbi August's brilliant teaching last month, you can now listen to it online, in the comfort of your home, and share it with friends and family.

Thanks to modern technology, Rabbi August's sermons are now available on our website. Click  HERE  to listen

This new innovation, however, is costly; please consider making a donation of $100 to Lev Eisha so we can continue this innovative program. This is the cost for us to record and post her sermons. Donors will be acknowledged on our Lev Eisha website as well as in our monthly seat flyer and Newsletter.

Please help Lev Eisha reach out to our community! Online donations can be made  HERE , or you can mail your check to:
