Annual Street Maintenance in Liberty Township

Each year Liberty Township works with the Butler County Engineer's Office to complete paving, black mat slurry and retracing work around the community. The Roads/Services Department monitors the condition of the streets and determines the roadways most in need of repair annually. The streets listed below are scheduled for work in 2016. Work is expected to begin in the coming months.
Goller Promoted to Career Firefighter/Paramedic

In January, Liberty Township announced the promotion of Ryan Goller to the position of Career Firefighter/Paramedic within the Township's Fire Department. Goller had served the Liberty Township community in a part-time role since October 2007.

Goller comes from a family of firefighters. His father Tony retired as the Fire Chief of the West Chester Fire Department, and his brother Scott is a full-time member of the City of Fairfield Fire Department.

"Ryan has been a great member of the Liberty Township Fire Department. I'm pleased to see him earn this promotion following our internal process. Given his family's background, I believe he's excited to start in this full-time career position. He will serve our department and Township residents very well," said Chief Paul Stumpf, Liberty Township Fire Chief.

A 2004 Lakota East High School graduate, Goller began his Fire/EMS training in 2006. He continued his education at Cincinnati State where he was the Valedictorian of his Paramedic class. In addition to working for Liberty Township since 2007, Goller has worked for the City of Fairfield Fire Department since 2008 in a part-time capacity as well. He and his wife Stephanie live in Monroe with their daughter Makenzie, age 2.
Planning & Zoning Department Reminders

With springtime comes a natural increase in nuisance complaints. The Township Zoning Department responds to nuisance complaints, including tall grass, weeds, garbage, refuse or other debris in yards, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 505.87. Complaints may be made by filling out the Resident Complaint Form in person, by mail, fax or email. Liberty Township operates on a complaint-only basis.

Keep in mind, permits are needed for new fences, decks, sheds and pools. If you're not sure whether you need a permit or not, we suggest contacting the Planning & Zoning Department at 759-7500 to verify. See below a quick list of frequently asked questions.
