Sophomores will take Pre-ACT in February

All 10th grade students will take the Pre-ACT exam on Wednesday, February 8th.  The exam will take place during school hours. The Pre-ACT exam provides students an opportunity to experience an ACT environment and practice with ACT-style questions. The exam also provides a predictive score for the ACT test and suggestions on how to improve before taking the ACT test.  For parents, this information will give you great talking points for you will receive your student’s score report, answer booklet, and suggested planning information based on your student’s career interests.  For more information, please click HERE.

Influenza Outbreak

We are beginning to see influenza in the community.  Please remember that students need to be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication before they return to school.  If your child has a positive influenza test please call the school and report this to the nurse.  We collect data for the Clay County Health Department.  No personal information is included in this reporting.  You can reach the LHS nurses at 816-736-7040.
