Tumblebooks!

TumbleBooks are e-books that add narration, animation, and sound to help children enjoy reading. Click here to access the TumbleBookLibrary database.

TumbleBookCloud is an online database of eBooks and educator resources perfect for your middle school, high school, or public library. It offers a robust selection of Graphic Novels, Enhanced Novels, eBooks, classic literature, National Geographic videos, educator resources, and audiobooks. The collection is available online around the clock. No downloads, no waiting! If you can access the internet, you can be reading, watching, or listening to fantastic content. TumbleReadables offer read-along titles for elementary, middle school, and high school readers.

TumbleBookCloud Junior is an online collection of e-books and read-along chapter books, non-fiction books, graphic novels, educational videos, and audio books! This database is a great option for adventurous young readers who wish to read beyond the picture book collection in the TumbleBookLibrary. It is designed specifically for kids in grades three to six.

Magic Muffins Book Discussion on Tuesday, August 1 @ 6:30 p.m.

Tweens, pick up your copy of Hoot by Carl Hiaasen in the Youth department, check it out with a friendly Circulation clerk to get the special due date, then join us to discuss this hilarious Floridian adventure about new kids, bullies, alligators, eco-warriors, pancakes, and pint-sized owls!

This FREE program is intended for ages 10-14. Registration is not required. Themed snacks will be provided! Held in the Story & Activity Room.

Off the Beaten Path Book Club on Tuesday, August 8 @ 7:00 p.m.

This month we will be discussing A Plague of Angels by Sheri S. Tepper.

This book group focuses on the strange, the weird, and the uncanny-stories that seem a bit askew, and look at the world from unusual perspectives.

We invite you to leave your usual books behind, and dare to read differently.

General Book Club on Monday, August 14 @ 7:00 p.m.

The Wright Brothers by two time Pulitzer Prize winning author David McCullough

Wilbur and Orville Wright were two unknown brothers from Ohio with high school educations and unlimited mechanical ingenuity and perseverance. McCullough tells the dramatic story of
how the Wright brothers taught the world how to fly.

Copies of the book are available in the Adult Services department. The book club will be held in the Bilder Family Meeting Room.

Crime Fiction Book Club on Monday, August 21 @ 2:00 p.m. and Tuesday, August 22 @ 7:00 p.m.

This month we will be reading Burning Bright by Nick Petrie.
