HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED LAST THURSDAY:
Well I don't know what happened to everyone last week. JOEL BAKER already had another gig so we had one of the desert's absolute best pianist fill in, PATRICK KARST. I hear some singers are nervous to sing with a new pianist, but Patrick has filled in many times and everyone says they love singing with him. So not sure where there all were but we had those FABULOUS FORMELOZA'S - with BETH singing "Moon Dance", "Where Do Broken Hearts Go", and "Again" while FERDIE did "What Kind Of Fool Am I", "Margaritaville" and "All Of Me". PHILLIP STEELE, said he lives within walking distance so he came to sing "Ballad Of Jennie", "September Song", and "Why Try To Change Me Now". And JASON HULL also lives walking distance and he came to sing "But You Know I Love", "One Love" and "Afternoon Delight". Also there to see the show, have dinner, and also got up and played a piano solo, was ROBERT JOHNSON. And MICHAEL ANDRUNUAS came for dinner and to invite our singers to come to OSCAR'S SUPPER CLUB CABARET on Wednesdays for "OSCAR'S IDOL". I went last week and saw a good singers, a guy and a gal, and an actor who did a monologue, plus a magician who won for the night with a cash prize of $150, plus each entry receives complimentary drinks. They can play your tracks on CD or MP3 or if you play guitar, bring it. And also bring your friends because the winner is selected by audience applause. I'll be there on Wednesday and hope you will too. But if not, I'll see you on Thursday for CABARET OPEN MIC THURSDAYS. We start the show at 6:30 and go to 9 PM and singers sign up starts at 6 PM.
