A Message from Our Interim Rector
|
|
"Life-Giving Love"
When we say we "love!" something we usually mean it, whether it be chocolate cake, a good movie, or the way another person does something. This thing, action or person delighted and pleased us. We value who they are and what they did.
Our life is made up of many small loves that go to make up a few large loves. If those large loves are focused on what is good, beautiful, genuinely real and life-giving, we are really loving God in those qualities, whether we know it or not.
It can be a challenge to distinguish between "cravings"--baser loves--that take us away from what is good and truly satisfying loves. But the more we hone in on what is truly life-and-health giving, the closer to the Spirit our lives can be.
This Sunday's sermon will explore how our loves can be educated by the Spirit.

Registration is almost full, just a few slots remain in select classes! If you would like to have your child join us, please
fill out the registration form and return it to the church office or bring it to church with you this Sunday. You will receive confirmation of registration or notified if your child has been placed on our waiting list.

St. Peter's Search Process Moves Ahead
|
|
The call has gone out through the posting of our Parish Profile with the Diocese, inviting prospective candidates for our new full-time priest position to send us their resume. The Search Committee will meet monthly through the summer and hopes to begin the initial round of interviews in the early Fall, and issue a call before year's end.
Please hold the committee in your prayers as they sift through resumes, conduct interviews and select candidates to present to the Vestry for decision.

Nursery Care will take a break for July and August. Michelle & Ann will be back again after Labor Day to care for our littlest parishioners. The little ones are always welcome in "big" church, however :)
