A Need in Our Community
As many of you saw, we sent an email yesterday on behalf of Kayla Andrade, a former student at Valley Christian. Because of her rare diseases, she is unable to attend school any longer. Kayla needs to go to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota on  December 12  for special treatment for a new set of medical circumstances that are critical to her health. To support her family and help them afford the trip, we are holding a fundraiser  this Saturday  from  7:00-11:00am . This event, Breakfast with Santa, will also raise funds to help cover the great medical expenses that are necessary to help Kayla survive.

Would you consider giving of your time or resources to help support Kayla and her family?  Please see the attached flyer. You can also make a financial donation at  www.fightingwithkayla.com or  www.gofundme.com/kaylaandrade
Thank you for all who have already so generously supported Kayla and her family!

A Message from the Junior Class: Holiday Party and Fashion Show
A Holiday Party and Fashion Show will be held to support the junior class this Sunday, December 4 from 2:00-5:00pm at 2255 Westbridge Lane Pleasanton CA, 94566. The event will include holiday festivities such as cookie decorating and seasonal food, as well a fashion show for Cabi clothing that is perfect for Christmas gifts. Bring cash, checks, or a credit card for Cabi clothes and Stella & Dot jewelry, as well as a raffle! There will also be having a toy drive for Toys for Tots, so everyone is welcome to donate an unwrapped gift for a child from the age of 3 to 12. Everyone is invited, so invite your grandmas, moms, sisters, and aunts! Please contact Jasmyn Cheng at  [email protected]
for more information or to buy tickets. Tickets are $20 for one person and $35 for two people. We can't wait to see you there! - The Junior Class

Attention Basketball Fans!
We are running a ticket entry fee special for adults.  We are offering a season pass for the low cost of $35 that will get you into all of the preseason and regular season home games.  That is a 30% savings. When you come to a Varsity Men's or Women's basketball game, the season pass will be available at the entry gate or you can purchase the season pass from the Athletic Department any time during the week.

Also, if you are a true fan of basketball and want to be right there where the action is happening, we are currently looking for two volunteers to run our game clock and shot clock for our home games.  Contact Larry Lopez in the Athletic Department, if you are interested.

Winter Wonderland Toy Drive
The Winter Wonderland Toy Drive supports a local outreach that served over 400 families last year with a hot lunch and provided over 1,000 toys to families in the  inner city of Oakland. Christian Cathedral Church also "adopted" 15 local families and donated 200 toys to the local Fruitvale Head Start program.

Mr. Montogmery is collecting toys and financial contributions to support this ministry again this year. All toys can be dropped off in H-9 or H-18 anytime before Friday, December 9. If you would like to volunteer at this event, please see Mr. Montgomery.
