Celebrating Seuss!
"From there to here, from here to there. Funny things are everywhere."  Dr. Seuss.
Our campus will be filled with whimsical creatures and creations on October 31. As we we look forward to Seussical the Musical, Elementary, Middle, and High school students are invited to share in this special Spirit Day by dressing up like their favorite Dr. Seuss character. We will host a campus parade for our youngest learners, the preschoolers, in the late morning, and enjoy a Seuss-themed treat to end the day.

Women's Varsity Volleyball | Senior Night
On Tuesday, our Women's Varsity Volleyball team celebrated their amazing seniors and an amazing victory! Good job girls!

JV Football
Last week our JV Football team had an amazing win against Mesa Verde with a beautiful view! Way to go boys!

Accreditation is Underway
At Valley Christian we value reflection. This year we are using our regular six year accreditation visit as an opportunity for a self-study. Each faculty and staff member is involved in some way at taking a close look at our program and developing a Continuous School Improvement Plan. This spring, the ACS/WASC will visit our campus and see what wonderful things are happening in classrooms across the schools!

"Planning Application Notice"
You may have noticed a sign that was recently put up near the campus entrance at the softball field that says, "Planning Application Notice". This sign is required by the city as a part of our long-term campus master plan.

Spirit Wear
As the seasons are changing, don't forget to purchase your Vikings sweatshirts and outerwear at our online store! Go to www.vcsathletics.com and click on STORE to customize your order!  Sweatshirts or jackets from the Spirit Store are allowed as a part of the Elementary School uniform.

We have an event binder to guide you through what has been done in the past.

Coffee and Conversations
Middle and High school families, please join us on Thursday, November 3 for some light breakfast and coffee. It's an opportunity to chat about our community and all that God is doing on the hill! Drop in when you can. Angela Bruggeman, our Dean of Academics, will be hosting from 8:00-9:30am. Please consider staying to enjoy chapel!

Sophomores Interact with the Muslim World Through Art
The sophomore Modern World History students have just finished studying the Ottoman, Safavid, and Mughal Empires. Students then traced themes from the 16th century to current events in the Muslim World today. Each student chose a current event and created a corresponding art piece in Islamic style.

Do you want to see how history collides with the present? You can find the sophomore's posters displayed throughout the hallways of the High School building and the SRC. Please come see their excellent works of fan (Arabic term for art.) The exhibit will be displayed from October 31-November 11.
