ALPLA Inc. Chooses Caterpillar
Lift Trucks
for Products and Services
Cost reduction, safety, and an increase in productivity are just a few of the benefits ALPLA, one of the world's leading packaging solutions companies, is experiencing since equipping their United States warehouses with electric Caterpillar Lift Trucks.
ALPLA's Iowa facilities were scheduled for restructure in 2013, and as the local Caterpillar lift truck dealer, Altorfer Lift Trucks built a relationship with the company to do just that. In recent months, Altorfer has been fortunate to provide sales and support for their new fleet, consisting of nine 2ET35000 Caterpillar sit-down three-wheel electric forklifts, one 2ET4000 Caterpillar sit-down three-wheel electric forklift, and two FBC18NS Mitsubishi standup counterbalance electric forklifts.
"We immediately saw relief from our high maintenance costs by switching from LP to electric forklifts," says Michael Schillaci, ALPLA Senior Logistics Manager. "We have cut down on LP costs by going with electric forklifts, which we have set up for opportunity charging. This allows for quick swapping of equipment when we are very busy."

Travels to Moore, Oklahoma with group from
Danville, Iowa.
After the devastating tornados struck the suburbs of Oklahoma City, Harmony Bible Church of Danville, Iowa made it their mission to help those affected. They rented two 259 skid steer loaders and grapple buckets from Altorfer Rents' Burlington location, and set off to provide any support they could.
Jeremy Hess, Director of Community Ministries, expressed his gratitude for Altorfer's support toward their mission. "Altorfer's willingness to work with us on price, and their HARD WORK in finding the 2nd unit made a difference in the lives of the people of Moore,"said Hess. "The two units we rented played a critical role in the lives of many people who lost everything. Without them, our mission simply could NOT have been accomplished as well as it was." Honored at Taylor
Dealer Meeting
Taylor Lift Trucks recently hosted their annual Taylor dealer meeting in Mississippi for all dealers that represent Taylor Forklifts and Lift Trucks. Altorfer Lift Trucks was honored for being a Taylor dealer for 15 years and received their 15 years of service pin. Randy Benisch, Altorfer Lift Trucks Sales Manager, and Jake Miller, Altorfer Lift Truck Sales Administration Manager, were present to receive the award.
