Little Pebbles from
Where did the year go? Our journey began just nine short months ago as we encouraged our children to always listen for God's voice, so that He will show them the way they should go. Each month we expanded their horizons, by having guests come and teach us about the different modes of transportation. Whether it is a limo, train, dump truck, or horse, we have had a wonderful "Go" of it! As we have watched your children grow physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually, we realized how fortunate we were to have "little friends" on our long ride. Children see the world differently from adults. Size does matter! When you are only three or four feet tall, a dump truck can be the most wonderful thing in the world. What fun we had listening to God's direction as we rolled down this track called life! This will be the last issue of our newsletter for the 2016-2017 school year, and primarily contains parental reminders of important end of the year activities. It's been a pleasure and a privilege to nurture your children.
MORE FOND FAREWELLS
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the retirement of Linda Kilmer, Stepping Stones' Assistant Director in charge of finances. Linda has been at our school for 40 years in both teacher capacity as well as administratively. She has had many of our parents in her classroom as young children. Words can't express how appreciative we all are for her many years of service to this church, our families, and our Lord. She will be sorely missed. Please keep Ms. Kilmer your prayers for her continued journey in life after work. (No more alarm clocks! Yeah!)
STEPPING STONES PRESCHOOL GRADUATION
Mrs. Smith's Class,
Mrs. Woodend's Class, & Mrs. Hofstetter's Class
Wednesday, May 24th 9:30 a.m.
Mark your calendars! On Wednesday, May 24th, our 2017 Graduation Ceremony will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the choir room, located on the third floor of the education building. Although there will be limited seating in this venue, it will provide a more intimate setting for families. The teachers and children have been working hard to make this milestone memorable. We ask the parents to remain seated during the ceremony. We will provide an opportunity for pictures with the teacher directly afterwards. Thank you for your cooperation.
After the ceremony, there will be a cake reception held in each child's classroom. This will be an excellent opportunity for pictures with teachers and friends, and to share fond memories together. Our dessert and paper products were provided with the monies from our Special Events Fee. We can't wait to see you there!

Thursday, August 17th
Open House for our new school year will be held on Thursday, August 17th in the morning. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to meet their teacher and become familiar with their new surroundings. You will receive more information over the summer. Our new school year begins on either Monday, August 21st or Tuesday, August 22nd depending on your child's enrollment. The faculty is enthusiastically planning for next year already, with a new theme...God's Wild Kingdom, where we will get wild about all of God's living creatures as we explore the jungles, deserts, and forests all around the world! IT'S A JUNGLE OUT THERE!
SUMMER TIME FUN:
Children, age 1 (and walking) by April 1, 2017, through incoming 1st graders, are invited to join a fun-filled morning of activities, crafts, music, movement, and free play related to special Bible themes.
Incoming 2nd - 7th graders are invited to join an outdoor-based day camp. Children will play and learn fundamentals for basic sports, participate in group games, and enjoy a fun Florida summer.
Fusion is for incoming 1st & 2nd graders only and spaces are limited! This hybrid day camp will incorporate elements of Summer Time Fun (STF) and CrossTrainers (CT) programs into one.
On behalf of the entire Stepping Stones faculty, we would like to thank you for the opportunity to teach your children this year. What an extraordinary group we have had! Both children and parents have left a special mark on our hearts for years to come. We praise God for the blessings He has bestowed upon us as educators and as a school. We pray Christ will continue to use our Christian school as a dwelling place for His Holy Spirit, and a facility for His love. Enjoy a safe and relaxing summer. See you next year. Same time. Same place. God Bless.
In His Service, Jan Banks
