HOPE HOUSE
What is it?

Inspired by St. Francis of Assisi and the Franciscan heritage of the Port Ministries, the HOPE House community seeks to live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through prayer and service, we hope to meet the foundational needs of the body, mind and spirit of all of our brothers and sisters in the Back of the Yards.

HOPE House is a live-in com munity project that will rent communal living space to individuals committed to volunteering over twenty hours (20) a month to The Port Ministries. Members will be selected via an application and interview process only after they meet the candidate requirements. Community members will focus their volunteering on developing projects and services that compliment The Port Ministries' mission and expand on the organization's existing services.
