Festival Fun
GENESEO OKTOBERFEST 
September 30, 2 PM - 7 PM
Center Street, Geneseo

Center Street will be shut down on Sept. 30 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., rain or shine, for live authentic German polka music and beer courtesy of Intermissions Bar and Grill and the Idle Hour. Participants will receive a mug with their $10 ticket. Traditional Bavarian dress is encouraged!

BARN FESTIVAL & SQUARE DANCE
September 30, 10 AM - 6 PM
Jack Evans Community Center, Hemlock
 
Come enjoy the autumn festivities at the 1st Annual Barn Festival sponsored by the Little Lakes Community Association at the old Hemlock school. There will be food vendors, craft vendors and activities and entertainment for all ages. Directly after the Barn Festival there will be a Square Dance from 7 PM to 10 PM.

National Warplane Museum
  
Fly, Drive, Walk, Bike - Come anyway you wish to the 2017 National Warplane Museum Chicken BBQ! Great food, great planes, great history all go together. Rain or shine in the big hangar! Adults $11.00, Kids 5-12 $6.00, under 5 Free!

HARVEST FESTIVAL
October 1, 12 PM - 4 PM
Deer Run Winery 
 
  Celebrate harvest and bring the kids for a free day of fun on the grape farm! Hayrides, face-painting, grape-stomp, lawn games, trick-or-treat stations, bounce house (weather permitting) and Live Music provided by the Industrial Blues Band! Costumes Encouraged!

FALL FESTIVAL & AGRICULTURE DAY 
September 30 - October 1
Genesee Country Village & Museum

Gather the family and head over to the Genesee Country Village & Museum for a weekend of entertainment and shopping. The festival includes a classic 19th-century magic show, the famous Punch & Judy puppet show, a Farmer's Market, a goat show and more!

OKTOBERFEST
October 6, 5 PM - 7 PM
Main Street Dansville 
 
Celebrate Oktoberfest with a DJ playing German music, a brats and sauerkraut vendor, an ice cream vendor and strudels for sale. There will also be mini horses and goats, hay Rides provided by Swyers farms, vendors selling crafts and Cartwrights maple syrup. Bring a chair , listen to the music, eat some German food, and watch some dancing!

CB'S BAR & GRILL
CB's Bar & Grill is a locally owned business on Main Street in Dansville, with a full family friendly restaurant as well as a large sports bar with an extended outdoor entertaining area. The sports bar features a warm and inviting atmosphere that includes 6 TV's, a newly expanded outdoor entertaining area with an outside bar, sitting area, fire pit, volleyball court and corn hole board games. CB's offers an array of events such as karaoke, live music, game night, and these weekly specials:
   
Tuesday: Family Night. A kids meal is half price with the purchase of an adult entree.
Wednesday: 1/2 price on select appetizers from 4-6 pm in the bar & restaurant

Outdoor Activities 
CREEK WALK
September 30, 9 AM
Little Beards Creek, Leicester

Hike into the Little Beards Creek for a creek walk with SUNY Geneseo geologist Dr. Jeff Over.  Learn about the geology and history of this creek, protected in 2016 by Gary & Dennis Moore.  The walk will be about 1 mile in length. The creek is flat and has minimal water late in the year, with hills to climb down into and out of the gully on trails .

GRIZZLY'S TRAIL OF TERROR

Take a thrilling ride in the one of a kind Trail Of Terror bus to the beginning of an acre + walking trail. You will be greeted by grueling Trail Monsters along the way! Food and beverages will be available. Admission is $15 at the door.

 WWII LIVING HISTORY DAY 
September 30, 9 AM - 6 PM 
National Warplane Museum
 
 Come to the National Warplane Museum for a World War II Living History Day. Experience WWII re-enactors, MARS Group Rocket Launches, Miniature Wargaming Among the Warplanes, Museum Tours and Plane Rides on some of the museum's fleet of aircraft (available for purchase). Arrive as early as Friday, Sept 29 and set up for the weekend. Free to re-enactors!

FALL FOLIAGE EXPRESS

Conesus Lake Sportsman Club
 
The Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum are operating a series of Fall Foliage Excursions with the cooperation of the Livonia, Avon & Lakeville Railroad. Ride in the museum's reconditioned Budd streamlined coaches built in 1941 for the New York Central's "Empire State Express" hauled by vintage Alco Century diesel locomotives provided by the LA&L. Enjoy an hour-and-forty-five minute round trip through the beautiful Genesee Valley country between Lakeville and Industry. Trains will depart from the Conesus Lake Sportsman Club in Lakeville.

A SERIES OF DISCREPANT EVENTS: SOME PHYSICS IN ACTION

Wadsworth Library, Geneseo

The Discovery Cafe is a casual event where you can hear from passionate researchers, try out an interesting activity, and just have fun! In this session, join Dr. Kurt Fletcher of SUNY Geneseo's Department of Physics and Astronomy for demonstrations and activity with total internal reflection, 3-sheet polarization, birefringence, and cloud chamber.

Hear from Bill Mckibben, one of the first and still leading, environmental advocates on the topic of climate change.  Bill is author of The End of Nature, Oil and Honey, Radio Free Vermont, Earth, Enough, The Age of Missing Information, and many more. Bill is also co-founder of environmental advocacy group 350.org.
