ON-THE-JOB TRAINING FUNDS AVAILABLE TO EMPLOYERS
Michigan Works wants companies to be aware of on-the-job training funds. The program has been extended to September 30th. Now Livonia employers will have additional time to take advantage of this opportunity that can save them up to $5K in employee training expense. This is one of the many Michigan Works strategies to grow and nurture existing businesses. 4TH ANNUAL COMMUNITY BACKPACK & SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE
Community Alliance Credit Union is very proud to be a partner with the Livonia Youth Commission and Community Resources Dept. to encourage donations and collect supplies for the 4th Annual Community Backpack & School Supply Drive for the Livonia Goodfellows. They are requesting new backpacks, new school supplies of all sorts and monetary donations are accepted. Checks can be made payable to 'City of Livonia' or 'Livonia Goodfellows'. They will be collecting these items through August 11. Collections and donations points are at Community Alliance Credit Union's Plymouth Road location and Livonia City Hall - Community Resources Dept. TAIL WAGGER'S - LOW COST VACCINATION CLINICS IN AUGUST
Tail Wagger's wants to let you know about the low-cost vaccination clinics that will be taking place in August. These clinics include $12 per vaccine or $30 for all three vaccines, microchips will be offered and there's no appointment necessary. The clinic dates run 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on August 7 at Sheehy Animal Hospital, August 20 at Wags to Whiskers and August 21 at Skeins on Main Yarn Co.
