Special Local Missions Offering this Sunday

Connecting First Church ministries with the needs of the world is a mission priority for our congregation. Thanks to the generosity of this congregation, we are able to provide financial support to a variety of local groups. That support will come from the special mission offerings collected on Easter, Christmas and this Sunday, August 13. Please give generously via the special envelope in this week's bulletin or electronically (please include a note that your special gift should be designated for Mission Giving). Thank you for supporting wide-reaching ministries that are consistent with the mission and vision of First Church.
Pride Parade and Lunch
Sunday, August 20, Noon, Fellowship Hall

"Pride is faith in our belovedness." First Church will add our faith witness to Madison's Pride Parade. Our parade entry will include a "float" consisting of a decorated truck (complete with some lawn chairs for those who need to ride through the parade) and a unit of joyful marchers. Wheelchairs, scooters, bikes, wagons and strollers are all welcome too! A quick lunch (freewill donation) will be served in Fellowship Hall at noon, then we'll gather at our spot in the parade line-up for the 1 p.m. parade. Please bring small candies to distribute during the parade.
Wrestling Jacob

Watch Rev.  Dr.   Mark Fowler's sermon from Sunday, August 6, based on Genesis 32.  Who are we? Who will we be for the world?
First Church Ministries Highlights

During worship we express our appreciation for the wide variety of critical ministries to which our friends and members give their gifts of time and energy as an offering to God. There are many ways we can give to God and serve our neighbors. Maybe you will be inspired!
