Asparagus - This Should Be The Week!
We feel confident enough this will be the week for asparagus we have placed it in almost every basket. The last two weeks have been frustrating for everyone - farmers, customers, Berkshire Organics etc. The cold night temperatures from early last week devastated an entire field but this week's crop is coming from a different field that got a later start. We will post an update on Facebook tomorrow morning once we reach the farmer's field. We're keeping our fingers crossed!

This Week - NEW Gravity Bulk Dispensers for Liquids! No More Pumping Your Bulk Laundry Soap & Dish Soap. BioKleen Liquid Laundry Soap & Dish Soap by Maya  I've been using BioKleen products for quite a while. In fact, I believe I may have been the first one to request them at Berkshire Organics. And now, a few years later, we not only carry the full line of cleaning products and detergents, we also have a couple of the most popular products available in bulk: the Hand Moisturizing Dishwash Liquid and the All-Temperature Citrus Laundry Liquid. Both are all-natural, biodegradable, and non-toxic, free of phosphates, chlorine, ammonia, petroleum, or any of the other nasty stuff often found in the detergents designed to clean our dishes, clothes, and homes. They are also free of animal ingredients, and are not tested on animals. In addition to their squeaky clean ingredient lists, the products themselves are super concentrated, so it takes less to do more, while using less overall packaging and energy. We produce 60+ varieties of seed each year on our farm in Wolcott, Vermont. We continuously select for the best strains of the varieties we grow, resulting in the improvement of these varieties. Producing seed on our own farm allows us to experiment with new varieties and sometimes bring specialty items to market faster than if we had to wait for them to become available through our seed vendors. In addition to producing seed on our farm in Vermont, we work closely with a network of growers both in Vermont and across the United States to produce seed for us. We also source seed from the top organic seed breeders and producers around the world, resulting in one of the largest selections of high performing organic seed.
